The two-times tournament winner (2013 and 2015) and the new world number one doubles player defeated Lukas Lacko (ATP-119): 6-1, 6-4.<\/p><p>In addition to his two titles at the Autotron (both competing as a qualifier), Mahut won the 2013 ATP grass court tournament of Newport, Rhode Island. The Frenchman has not yet reached a final on other surfaces.<\/p><p>The eighth seed will have to beat compatriot Paul Henri Mathieu (ATP-60) to reach the quarter-final.
