The Frenchman experiencing his first week as the world number one doubles player at the Ricoh Open. He has dethroned the Brazilian Marcelo Melo.<\/p><p>Mahut is the 49th world number one in this discipline and the first Frenchman since Yannick Noah claimed top spot at end of the 80\u2019s.<\/p><p>Mahut\u2019s promotion occurred after Marc Lopez and Feliciano Lopez defeated the Bryan brothers at Roland Garros.<\/p><p>Although Mahut\u2019s Roland Garros campaign with his permanent partner Pierre Hugues Herbert ended at an early stage, the strong duo managed to win the Masters 1000 tournaments in Indian Wells, Miami and Monte-Carlo.<\/p><p>Mahut is first seed in the doubles in Rosmalen with occasional partner Rohan Bopanna.
