Ekaterina Alexandrova, seeded seventh, reached the final after a resounding performance against Veronika Kudermetova. On the sold out centre court she won 6-3 6-1 against the sixth seed.<\/p><p>In doing so, the number thirty of the world reached the final of a WTA-tournament for the fourth time in her career and for the first time this year. The adventure on the Brabant grass started with a tough first round match against Dayana Yastremska, but since that match Alexandrova has not lost a set.<\/p><p>To win her second top-level title &#8211; after her final victory in Shenzhen in 2020 &#8211; Alexandrova will have to take on first-seeded Aryna Sabalenka or American Shelby Rogers.<\/p><p>Alexandrova&#8217;s previous best result in Rosmalen was a quarter-final place in 2019, when she lost to eventual champion Alison Riske.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A new face in the final this year.
