Due to the Corona pandemic Lib\u00e9ma Open 2020 was postponed to 5-13 June 2021. This week, the week the tournament would have taken place at the beautiful grass courts of the Autotron \u2018s-Hertogenbosch, we look back at some of the players\u2019 greatest, funniest, most emotional and most successful moments during the tournament.<\/p>
This time we talk to last year\u2019s finalist Kiki Bertens.<\/p>
Kiki Bertens has grown into a solid top 10 player in the past few years. She made her WTA debut in 2011. Where? On the grass courts of the Autotron in \u2019s-Hertogenbosch of course!<\/p>
For the very first time at the highest level and playing in front of a home crowd on a surface she had never played on before. \u2018That, of course, was very exciting,\u2019 says Bertens.<\/p>
Bertens was first seed last year and was only one point from winning the tournament. She\u00a0 looks back with proud, but she also feels a bit disappointed that she did not succeed in winning her tenth WTA title in her home country. However, the silver trophy for the runner-up spot has a special place in her house.<\/p>
After loosing two doubles\u2019 finals and one singles\u2019 final the Dutch number one is eager to win. Will she succeed in 2021?<\/p>
