The second seed defeated his good friend Jeremy Chardy, 6-3 7-6(5), to win his 15th ATP title.<\/p><p>The 31-year-old player, who is blessed with a velvet single-handed backhand, competed for the fourth time against his compatriot this year. Chardy won nine matches on grass in a row before this final. He was in good form.<\/p><p>One break in the first set was enough for Gasquet, but in the second set two-time Wimbledon semi-finalist had more trouble with Charday. Finally a tiebreack had to decide the winner: Gasquet, 7-5.<\/p><p>Gasquet\u2019s last title on grass dates from 2006 (Nottingham).
